West Carroll Expungement Photo Limits
Release and expungement answer separate questions. Release ends or changes a custody episode. Expungement removes covered arrest and case records, including photographs and fingerprints, from public access under Louisiana procedure without always requiring the agency to destroy its nonpublic copy. A missing public image after expungement cannot reveal when the person left jail.

Article 234 creates a specific seven-calendar-day removal duty for a covered remove-for-pay publisher. The pictured person must submit a request and evidence that the person was acquitted or not prosecuted, or that the charge was expunged, vacated, or pardoned. The covered publisher may not demand payment. That rule is not a general secrecy order, not proof that West Carroll Parish publishes photos, and not a reason to use a paid removal service.
Louisiana R.S. 14:133.7 separately regulates covered criminal-history publication. Within its scope, it bars charging to remove, correct, or modify published information and addresses incomplete, inaccurate, or expunged material.
